Zoom Classes with Christy at the Yoga Barn

I am starting online yoga classes in the Yoga Barn using zoom April 6.  Soon, I will have WiFi in the yoga barn and a big screen so I can see everyone participating.

This will be so awesome to re-engage with past students and friends, to accommodate my local quarantined students, and to connect with new people.  I was recently described as a "fabulous and fun teacher" by my student here in Jackson Hole who had taken several months of classes with me.   My classes will include a huge variety of mindful movement, mobility, strength, coordination, and balance.   Importantly, my classes will also include relaxation, imperative to restoration on a physical and emotional level.

You do not need to be flexible or experienced with yoga.  My approach is to enjoy exploring what your body can do, to bring about more awareness and strength for functional movement, and to harness the power of the body and mind working together.   I love to remember my Dad extolling the benefits of yoga to friends.  He used to say, "Christy gets you to move in the places you didn't know you could move."

Here are the props I will work with, along with links of where to buy them.  1, 2 and 3 being the most essential. I've linked to the best thickness for yoga mats, firmness for blankets, and size for blocks, but of course you can make do with what you already have.  Broom sticks?  They are so helpful!  If the straw part of your broom unscrews, that will be just fine.   7 and 8 are the costliest so we may put off their use.  I may add to this list in the future but let's start with the basics.
